This realtor represented the buyers in the sale of our home, and I would not recommend working with him. Instead of managing his clients' expectations and keeping the transaction professional, he consistently pushed unreasonable demands throughout the process. At the final walk-through, he presented a list of items he wanted repaired that had never been identified in the home inspection report. These were not issues that had been called out during the inspection or negotiated during the inspection objection period, yet he attempted to make them part of the closing process. Nearly two months after closing, he sent us a letter demanding additional money for items that, once again, had never been identified by the home inspector or addressed during the transaction. The sale had been completed, all documents signed, and the transaction closed, yet he was still attempting to pursue additional compensation requiring us to retain legal counsel. A buyer's agent should advocate for their clients while also understanding the contract, managing expectations, and conducting business professionally. In our experience, this realtor failed to do that. Instead, the process was marked by last-minute demands, attempts to reopen settled issues, unnecessary post-closing requests and a general sense of entitlement and lack of respect. From our side as the sellers, his inability or unwillingness to manage his own buyer’s expectations created undo stress, worry, and expense for us. If you're looking for a realtor who understands the limits of a real estate contract and keeps transactions professional and fair, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
